GENESIS
The encounter between Claude Delangle and Anne-Hélène Kotoujansky took place in early 2015, when Claude was looking for a dancer to "bring in motion" the creation SOLO for soprano saxophone by Bruno Mantovani.
Facing this at a first glance complex and abstract piece, the research focuses on the relation between the musician and his scores, as well as on the image of the musician and dancer’s ascent through the music piece.
SOLO, solist piece becomes a trio for instrumentalist, dancer and score.
With time further works were added to the programme: the Partita for flute by Johann Sebastian Bach (from which Bruno Mantovani got inspired for the creation of SOLO), the ETUDES OBSESSIONNELLES by Benjamin Attahir (former student of B. Mantovani), the SYRINX by Debussy, and CONCA REATINA by Philippe Leroux.
